[This is true. If we kill embryos there is no reason why we shouldn’t kill newborn babies. However, my opinion is that we can not defend embryos (or anyone) by invoking Rights or equations of potentialities with actualities. If we need to define an embryo as human, in order not to kill it, then we are not human ourselves anymore. A human person does not kill, because he does not want to, not because of a definition.

If we were humans we wouldn’t want to kill the offspring of our personal relationship, growing inside our own body. If we can not respect the real thing, how can we respect a definition?]
