    Who were his parents and what did his house look like?

    I think we don’t know about his parents; but it is said he was rather poor.

    Actually it said he came from rich parents, a nobility and all that, there’s a lot of text that says he could have ruled over Ephesus but gave that control to his brother. Most biographies begin with him being of a noble family. Just putting that out there.
